E-Book Readers and Compilers

With this system, magazine and/or newspaper publishing companies can offer digital format of their editions to users. Users can download the e-books and read them through e-book readers. The application is secured to the extent that it does not allow users to copy or redistribute e-books. A portal would enable book publishers to sell e-books to interested readers purchase them online.

E-book Compiler configures PDF files into understandable formats. The compiler is used by publishers to compile e-books and upload them to the portal.

Features of E-book Reader

» It will organize the files downloaded into a library based on user’s preferences, and it will show them as images, by downloading the gif images from the website.
» It will have the flip pages effect.
» It will have the option to start at system start-up
» It will contain a security module which prevents copying and use of the publications downloaded by users other than the buyer.
» It will retain the page and publication last read and the marks or notes made on the publication.
» It will contain the following functionalities:

a. Zoom in/out (at least 300%) in vector graphics
b. Highlight (mark/unmark a selected text with a desired color)
c. Search (find a specific keyword in the publication)
d. Notes (will be able to make notes)
